Steps to Register a New Vehicle in Andhra Pradesh

1. Temporary Registration (if applicable)

  • Dealerships often provide a temporary registration valid for 30 days.

  • You must apply for permanent registration within this period.

2. Permanent Registration

You can register your vehicle either online via the AP Transport e-Pragathi portal or offline at your local RTO.

Documents Required

Ensure you have the following documents ready:

  • Form 20: Application for vehicle registration.

  • Form 21: Sale certificate from the dealer.

  • Form 22: Roadworthiness certificate from the manufacturer.

  • Form 22A: If the vehicle body is fabricated separately.
